On Friday of week 6 a band called ‘Music Is Fun’ visited our school to perform a few fantastic songs and dances. They did songs about space, the sea, a banana phone, rock and roll songs and classical songs. Some students from all classes helped out with the props. People dressed up in awesome costumes. Even some parents came and joined in and watched.

This Wordle is about the project we are doing in our class. instead of reading a book we are trying something new called inanimate Alice. inanimate Alice is a new way to learn literacy. They are types of video webisodes with interactivity. So far there are only four episodes but they are aiming for ten. We are some of the first classes to try this new technology. We are in interactive learning teams with about six people each team. Nearly everyday we are given new sheets/activities to do in our group book, once we have watched the episode as a class we split up into our teams and work together. some teams go to either the library or use the pod room computers. We are enjoying doing this new technological way of reading a lot.

We were very proud on Friday night of our talented students who bravely sang, danced and played instruments at the opening of the Fleurieu Folk Festival. They were FANTASTIC!!! Many, many thanks to Dave Greenslade who has mentored the students over the last two terms to ensure they were ready for this event. A fantastic opportunity for Willunga to show it really does have talent!
